franklin's tower

good things about being three, by cassidy:
valentine's day balloons going oh so high
building towers to the sky
in the car to go see friends
high five when the visit ends
cereal and milk in the afternoon
posing in the living room
lounging with a pop up book
at the park giving girls the look
hugs from mommy are always right
It's a George and Martha reading night!

been a long time since I did the stroll

It's been a while...The new year has been full of pop-up books, giraffe puzzles, hiding with cousins, trips to the park, books with mommy and daddy, and the all-around joy and wonder of being 3. the pictures tell the story.

twelve toys a-bleeping

Cassidy's third Christmas - the first one he really was able to appreciate, at least in part. He loves the tree, and contributed his first ornament - a snowman that he made at daycare. He also got to take part in our annual Christmas Eve tradition of a museum visit and take-out Indian food; we went to Randall Museum to touch snakes and see hawks and owls.

He was definitely a big fan of the present-opening. Not surprisingly, he was the primary recipient (although we all did well), so now the house is filled with the traditional Christmas sound of electronic children's toys.

party at ground zero

Cassidy had his third birthday party almost a week and a half ago now. All the toys that look new and pristine in these pictures are already showing the signs of wear and tear that only a dedicated and passionate three-year-old can provide. We all had fun - friends, family, balloons, cake, singing, bubbles, and camaraderie. What more could you ask for from a birthday party?

thanksgiving filter

There's plenty for us to be thankful for this year: visits with family, a great dinner with friends, a rousing game of ring-around-the-rosie, hugs from grandma, impeccable fashion sense, the chance to lay back with a good book, a trip to the zoo, some ducks to feed, and a sweet and lovable (if occasionally willful) little child.
